Hopfgarten in summertime
One of the most sunny areas of the Kitzbüheler alps with its unique and at the same time unspoilt nature.
Whoever is spending their holidays in Hopfgarten/Kelchsau can look forward to an interesting countryside, promising delight in many ways. Peaceful hiking tails through varied Tyrolean fauna and flora lead into idyllic valleys above which the Hohe Salve towers imposingly. Hopfgarten/Kelchsau presents itself as an original farmers' region, especially of interest to all of those fond of nature, explorable on theme-tails from "farm to farm" (Hof zu Hof) or up the mointain leading to one of the 70 alpine pastures and huts.
A recreational program was thoughtfully created combining tourism and agriculture, which includes "sports, enjoyment and adventure for all ages". This ranges from beachvolleyball, biking as well as mountain biking, paragliding, and a funpark to a summer-toboggan-run or a kids program including fishing (trouts), pony and horseback riding (on Haflinger), horse-drawn-carriage-rides or programs like "Fun on the Farm" (Spass am Bauernhof) for example.
Our new favourite is the recently created "Salvenaland", placed underneath the silhouette of the Tyrolean mountains, attracting visitors with a big lake for swimming, a pool as well as an Action-Area, just to name some of the highlights. Ask for the new "Salvena-Freizeit" card, which offers reductions on many of the services for little money.
